CENTRAL FLORIDA CITIES
MOUNT DORA, FL
A special little place tucked away in Central Florida. With a population approximately of 17,000 Mount Dora exudes southern hospitality. Mount Dora is possible the best-known town in Lake County, Florida and being on the coveted Lake Dora. Downtown Mount Dora as an abundance of fine dining with restaurants such as The Goblin Market, 1921, and Pisces Rising. If Asian cuisine and sushi are your thing Wave Asian Bistro will not disappoint. The shopping in downtown are boutiques and specialty shoppes, and with over 30 festivals per year the visitors come from everywhere with around 250,000 visitors a year.
TAVARES, FL
Tavares is a waterfront town on Lake Dora with a thriving downtown on the waterfront with restaurants and bars plus a beautiful park all with beautiful views of the water. Tavares is known as American’s Seaplane City. Tavares hosts many water type events such at the Seaplane-a-Palooza which is a fly in event hosted usually in in the Spring. They have boat races and jet ski races as well as antique boat shows.
EUSTIS, FL
Eustis is another waterfront city this one on Lake Eustis which is connected to Lake Dora via the Dora Canal. On a beautiful day many boats will pass through this canal to see the beauty of the cypress tree with moss hanging and the ferns lining the canal plus you might see the occasional alligator. The city of Eustis is well known for the yearly celebration of Georgefest in February to honor former president George Washington. Ferran Park is on the shoreline of Lake Eustis and many of the city’s events are hosted at this beautiful park with amazing sunsets.
LEESBURG, FL
Leesburg is known as the Lakefront City with many charming shops and restaurants. Leesburg is probably best known for the Annual Leesburg Bikefest a four-day event in downtown Leesburg which draws for 250,000 people. A few blocks from downtown are the waterfront and Venetian Gardens. The newly opened restaurant of Ski-Beach overlooking Lake Harris is a wonderful place for lunch or dinner by boat, car, or motorcycle. Leesburg has so much to offer anyone looking for something to do.
